Gift Credit: How We Handle Order Exceptions

What it is: Gift Credit is a service recovery tool, not a payment method or stored value — it exists to resolve specific situations, most commonly a completed return.

Our priority is always the physical gift, and specifically the one your Gifter chose. If a gift can't be fulfilled through the original merchant (stock, merchant issue), we'll first attempt to source that same item from an alternate merchant. We do not substitute a different item — your Gifter's original choice is what we're sourcing, wherever we can find it.

If the same item genuinely can't be sourced anywhere, we'll contact you to select a same-merchant replacement. If nothing suitable is available there, a refund goes to the original Gifter minus our service fee.

Gift Credit is issued only when: a return is completed and we receive a refund from the merchant. It is not issued for out-of-stock items, at your request in place of a gift, or as a general alternative to fulfillment.

Terms: expires 180 days from issue; capped active balance per account; standard service fees apply to Gift Credit purchases too; non-transferable; no cash value; subject to our review before redemption completes.

To redeem: select "Treat Myself" on a wishlist item and check out as normal — credit applies automatically, pending our review.
