How We Handle Price Differences

Created by Samantha B., Modified on Fri, 31 Jul at 10:00 AM by Samantha B.

Prices can shift between when an item's added to your list and when it's actually purchased — merchant pricing, shipping, taxes, and currency conversion can all move.

If the checkout total comes in higher than the funds available, we'll reach out to you first — you can cover the difference or choose a same-merchant alternative. If neither works, we refund the original Gifter minus our fee. To maintain the spirit of giving - we don't go back to the Gifter for more money in this situation.

If it comes in lower, the difference is refunded to the original Gifter by default.

To minimize surprises, it's worth checking a merchant's full checkout total — item, shipping, and tax — before adding something to your list.
